Consult With Dr. Major
After you have completed a seminar, you will consult with a surgeon to discuss candidacy for surgery, treatment options and your individual requirements. The initial Emory Clark-Holder Clinic visit will follow the information seminar and includes but not limited to the following:
- A nursing assessment to include but not limited to: height, weight and BMI, medical history and medication inventory, co-morbidities identified and dietary history
- The surgeon’s assessment to include but not limited to physical and medical review and evaluate candidacy for surgery, discuss surgical options and alternatives to bariatric surgery, discuss risk and benefits, potential complications, expected outcomes and additional medical clearance based on clinical findings
