Body Mass Index (BMI) is a number calculated from a person’s weight and height. BMI provides a reliable indicator of body fatness for most people and is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems.

For the BMI Chart below, locate your height on the left-hand side of the chart and follow it across to the number at the top of the chart that best matches your current body weight. The number in the rectangle where your height and weight meet is your estimated BMI.
